Dr Sarah Matthews
Veterinarian (MAVet MB FANZCVSc)
I have been a veterinarian since I graduated from Cambridge University in 1999. I went through Internship and Residency at Sydney University then sat and passed Fellowship Examinations in Equine Surgery in 2005
The same year I won National Championships and have continued to represent Australia in sport since.
I got into Emergency initially to allow me to work nights and train in the daytime. However, I truly love the industry and enjoy being in a career where I am working to save lives
I don't currently have any pets as I have a 5-year-old daughter at prep, one dependant is currently enough with a full time job!
My favourite part of the job is the team I work with
Fun fact is that I love consulting, I enjoy engaging with clients. Another one is that The Veloroos won Race Across America and we still have the course record. Or that I have been in 2 documentaries....
